Meet Our Founders

Toni Haugen L.Ac., MSW
Toni is a licensed acupuncturist who works to bridge acupuncture and conventional Western medicine, treating symptoms along with their underlying causes. Toni is also a skilled movement and posture instructor, influenced by dance, Foundation Training, Feldenkrais, Qi Gong, and her career as an aerialist and performer.
Before being an acupuncturist and instructor, Toni was a social worker and counselor. Today, her treatment sessions are therapeutic scenes where profound physical and emotional healing is allowed to unfurl. She believes that no person is fundamentally broken and that all people deserve to live with a sense of vitality.
“Our bodies and our relationship to them is a deeply complicated matter in our current culture. I believe in showing ourselves and each other compassion, and in having spaces to grieve and love openly, in order to find more ease and live more satisfying lives. My promise to people is that no matter what their issues are, they will be listened to without judgment. My approach is focused on process over perfection. I prefer questions to absolutes. I aim to provide people with resources, support, and care that is approached with mindfulness and even some humor!“
Dr. Kathleen Ross, DPT E-RYT
Kathleen is a doctor of physical therapy and experienced registered yoga teacher. Through her training, she noticed that people weren’t being listened to and their pain was frequently left untreated. As she worked to respond to the gap in accessible health care, she became increasingly compelled to understand how our emotional and social worlds impact the ways we move and experience our bodies. She specializes in orthopedic pain, sexual dysfunction, labor and delivery, and the nervous system’s role in chronic pain. She came to focus on the pelvic floor as a particularly important pathway to relieve chronic stress and pain. With more than 20 years experience, her multifaceted approach has helped countless people feel and move better throughout their lives.
Kathleen’s magic is her honesty, humor, and ability to connect people with healing resources. By offering attentive and curious compassion toward patients’ experiences, Kathleen provides a safe space to begin healing.
“I believe the only ethical way to practice medicine is to constantly be learning and collecting resources for my patients. My goal is to help patients synthesize information and provide practical but profound solutions that cut through all of the contradictory messaging in the health discourse. My passion is to empower patients to achieve well-being by creating individualized plans drawn from physical therapy, functional movement, trauma-informed breathwork, exercise science, and yoga.“
